EAA Accessibility Partial-Compliance Statement - 2026
This accessibility statement applies to https://www.binogi.com.
It does not apply to the Binogi learning platform or other authenticated services available after users log in.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and the accessibility requirements of the European Accessibility Act due to the non-compliances listed below.
Binogi is committed to improving the accessibility of its public website and is actively addressing identified accessibility issues as part of its ongoing accessibility programme.
Non-accessible content
Despite our efforts to ensure accessibility, we are aware of a number of issues affecting the public website.
Non-compliance with accessibility requirements
The following accessibility issues have been identified:
Alternative text
Some informative images do not have appropriate alternative text, meaning screen reader users may not receive equivalent information.
Relevant WCAG Success Criterion- 1.1.1 Non-text Content (Level A)
Page structure and semantic markup
Some pages do not use semantic HTML consistently. In particular:
- Some pages do not contain a top-level heading (H1).
- Some lists and groups of links are not marked up semantically.
- Some lists are not correctly structured.
These issues may affect navigation and interpretation by assistive technologies.
Relevant WCAG Success Criteria- 1.3.1 Info and Relationships (Level A)
- 4.1.1 Parsing (legacy criterion referenced in the audit)
Colour contrast
Some text does not provide sufficient contrast against its background, making content more difficult to read for users with low vision or colour vision deficiencies.
Relevant WCAG Success Criterion- 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) (Level AA)
Keyboard accessibility
Some interactive functionality requires further improvement to ensure full keyboard accessibility.
In some situations the visible keyboard focus indicator may become obscured while navigating.
Relevant WCAG Success Criteria- 2.1.1 Keyboard (Level A)
- 2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured (Minimum) (Level AA)
Content requiring further manual assessment
Certain accessibility requirements cannot be fully evaluated through automated testing and remain under review. These include:
- the appropriateness of alternative text descriptions;
- keyboard operability of all interactive components;
- consistency of navigation across the website;
- descriptiveness of headings and labels;
- control of animated content;
- flashing content;
- accessible alternatives for drag-and-drop interactions.
These items will be assessed as part of ongoing accessibility reviews.
Accessible content
The accessibility assessment confirmed that several important accessibility features are already implemented on the public website, including:
- responsive layouts that support reflow on small screens;
- support for browser zoom and pinch-to-zoom;
- sufficient spacing between interactive controls;
- correctly labelled form controls;
- programmatic identification of form field purposes;
- accessible dialog labelling;
- links distinguishable by more than colour alone;
- text alternatives for audio and video content where applicable.
